Experiencing a turn of fate, two Indian expatriates achieved a remarkable milestone by each winning USD 1 million in the Dubai Duty Free raffle, while another fortunate individual secured a Mercedes Benz car on Tuesday.

As reported by Gulf News, Jaya Gupta and Ravi Ramchand Bachani emerged as the fortunate winners in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw. Their winning ticket numbers, 0993 and 0969, belonged to series 303 and 304, respectively.

Jaya, a 71-year-old businesswoman based in Dubai, attributed her success to divine blessings from God and her mother. She expressed her gratitude, stating, “It is their blessings that have brought me this far in life.” Having been a resident of Dubai for 35 years, Jaya revealed that she has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free Raffle Draw for the past 15 years. Remarkably, she purchased the winning ticket before her flight to Mumbai to visit her mother. Despite traveling at least six times a year, she confessed to never feeling lucky before and credited her win to the sales girl who selected the winning number for her, saying, “It feels amazing.”

Meanwhile, Ravi Ramchand Bachani, another winner who will receive USD 1 million, is a Dubai-based Indian national who secured victory in Series 304 with ticket number 0969. Having lived in Dubai for 14 years, Ravi, engaged in the garment business, has actively participated in the million-dollar promotion for the past decade. He acquired the winning ticket while traveling to Croatia during the Eid holidays. Overwhelmed by his unexpected fortune, Ravi expressed his disbelief, saying, “This is amazing, I cannot believe that I am now a dollar millionaire. Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!”
